Child-Care Building Experience

Written by csupport on . Posted in References

This letter contains brief excerpts from letters of reference and appreciation for child-care centers built by Andy Ward.

Primrose School of Cary:
Owner: Kathy Miller
“From the first day of our project, I have been impressed with how well organized was your approach to our building. Every meeting we had was another opportunity to notice you had taken care of every item from the previous meeting. We were kept abreast of each development of the process, and there were very few surprises. Your responsiveness and complete reliability in solving problems, and doing it quickly and efficiently, saved us not only money, but priceless time and grief.”

“Your work ethic is the best, That is not just our observation, but that of all those who worked on your crews.”

“I truly felt this project was a partnership, and a very successful one.”

Primrose School of West Cary:
Owners: Kathy & Stew Miller
“Andy is one of the very few people I have met that I feel has as high a standard as Stew and I do.”

“I always knew Andy was right on top of every issue and doing whatever necessary to do it right. I had such complete confidence that in every decision, Andy would make it in favor of the better way to do it.”

“Thank you or another job well done.”

Primrose School at West Lake:
Owner: Elliott Blades
“Andy Ward deserves much of the credit for helping us meet our key business goals. He was very effective at making us aware of potential problems that could arise with such projects, making suggestions on things to change based on past experience, prompting me early to work on things that were my responsibility, sending out early warning signs when something was not heading down the right path, and escalating things to me when he thought my assistance could expedite matters.”

“Regardless of what was going on, our sense of confidence in him left us knowing that everything would always be alright.”

“He not only kept us within budget, but was instrumental in getting our CO when we needed it.”

Andy Ward, D.W. Ward Construction, was awarded a contract as a General Contractor in charge of the 60,000 square foot EDS Up-Fit by Wycliff Ventures, LLC. The contract value for this work was in excess of $ 2.2 million dollars. His scope of work included coordination of a total of $ 4.8 million dollars of construction, including trades and subcontractors hired directly by EDS, which had to be completed in a three month time period.

We are very pleased with the diligence and expediency at which Mr. Ward’s team performed their work for us. They were able to meet the deadline on time, in budget, and in a very professional manner.

I have no qualms about a recommendation for Andy Ward. I am certain you will find his professionalism and construction abilities to meet all of your expectations.

D.W. Ward Construction Company was the general contractor on a project we designed and administered for a large corporation. The scope of the project was to relocate office personnel from two separate floors to different locations within the existing building on three different floors. The work involved miscellaneous selective demolition of interior partitions, new electrical work, new interior finishes, minor HVAC ductwork revisions, and interior finishes. In my opinion, D.W. Ward performed their work in a very respectful, workmanlike manner. I would not hesitate to use them again.
